A Message from Robert F. Kennedy Jr. - Chairman on Leave

PA Health Departments Index Page

One of the most important roles one can play as a Children’s Health Defense member is being present at and making comments to your county or city’s board of health meetings. These meetings must take place in public. Keeping abreast of their meeting agendas and making comments or asking questions is valuable and important.

Below are links to all the county- and city-level public health agencies in Pennsylvania. If there is something you think is important happening at your local public health agency, do not hesitate to let CHD PA know. It may be important enough for our chapter to call an action alert. If your local board of health is in violation of PA’s Sunshine Act (Open Meetings Law) requirements for public meetings, comments, or documentation, please make a report to CHD PA.

One example was when Allegheny County’s Public Health Department proposed adding the HPV vaccine to the county’s school requirements. We worked to see that our members were present to inform that board of the hundreds of injury and death lawsuits that are currently working their way through the courts against Merck, the principal maker of this likely fraudulent and dangerous intervention.

Being present, being witnesses, and speaking out is what CHD members do and is how we move our mission into the mainstream.
