Attention Farmers & Backyard Poultry Keepers!

The insanity over bird flu, a narrative under development for 5 years ,is picking up pace since last spring. It has helped feed a torrent of alarmist stories in the media. Under this narrative the FDA and local state agriculture departments have managed to cull 10% of the country’s chicken population. And it appears they are only getting started.

Our collaborative organization Weston A. Price Foundation has just released a great article documenting the fraud behind this story which has driven egg prices in some regions to over $10 a dozen.

Farmers in PA have reported being visited recently by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture seeking to test milk, poultry and other animals for Avian Flu. In late January  the PADA claims they detected the virus in a 50,000 bird flock in Lehigh Country. The farm and commercial poultry facilities within a 10-kilometer radius of the infected flock are under quarantine.

Fortunately, a cull has not yet been ordered. Joel Salatin, regenerative farmer extraordinaire, recently published an article analyzing the approach of public agriculture officials for the Brownstone Institute. He pointed out the extreme short sightedness of culling entire flocks, sick, unsymptomatic or healthy destroys any opportunity for the process of natural immunity to take hold and the opportunity to strengthening the immunity of the population.

Famers and the public must challenge the actions of our agriculture and public health officials when it comes to making quarantine and culling actions on lab test alone. As the Covid-19 scamdemic taught us “experts” relying on testing, that does not meet any rigor of science, can be used to shape any desired narrative or state policy or action.

Weston A. Price Foundation has produced an excellent document which farmers can use when approached with an inspection order or request. People with backyard chickens should also keep a printed copy on hand in the event they receive an unexpected visit by their health department or PADA agents.  This document has been successful in dissuading inspections of flocks in the UK . Consider printing one out for your farmer to review and to keep on hand. Download the PDF: Agriculture Inspection Questionnaire

Demand to be shown evidence that the testing they are being subject to meets basic principals of science and will be acquired using legitimate laboratory protocols.
