Bobby Kennedy Jr., Mary Holland and a network of health freedom groups help launch HB 2013
The bill to make medical freedom a fundamental and unbridgeable right was debuted to the public today. Children’s Health Defense Pennsylvania Chapter, Health Freedom Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Coalition for Informed Consent and Lions for Liberty turned out their membership to fill the stairs at the State Capital in Harrisburg.
Representative Russ Diamond the author of the bill stood beside co-signers of the HB 2013 as he outlined the urgent need for the this bill and landmark nature and nation wide impact if ratified by the public.
Attorney Will Estrada from Parental Rights, one of the participating attorneys in the legal victory over D.C.’s childhood consent to immunization law laid out the weight of Supreme Court precedent that backs up the legal standard that HB 2013 rests on.
CHD President Mary Holland spoke via video to stress the bill’s essential language and protections. She applauded this proposed amendment as recognizing fundamental rights. “this is not a partisan issue, this is not a left verse right. This is the notion that people have autonomy over their own body, and they have to be able to consent or refuse any medical treatment.”
Robert Kennedy Jr. also gave an address via video to say he was “so proud of what you are doing in Harrisburg. We now need to begin to erect legal barriers that will protect our democracy, that will protect our freedom, that will protect our country and our children from this rising tide of totalitarianism and that battle is beginning in Harrisburg.
