Radnor School District Weighs the Evidence for Continued Masking
On February 15, 2022 Curriculum Committee Meeting of the Radnor Township School District, in Delaware County, met to discuss a variety of business but the policy of masking of students took a central role. The Board examined charts of case rates from several surrounding county’s school districts that were highlighted for each corresponding district’s masking policy.
Radnor like the Philadelphia School District has required all students, teachers and staff to be masked for the full academic year.
Below are the charts with the final one combining the data from all the school districts examined. The data produced here corresponds with the weight of data accumulated on masking since the Spanish Flu. It is extremely difficulty to gauge the efficacy of masking for respiratory infections. Additional, without a common understanding of Farr’s Law any attributions can be made that might fit into what is an expected pattern for an outbreak.
